It
only took 5 months. Now I'm back. with a vengance.
And some cheezels. AWW YEEH. The nasty shit that was
going on with the phoneline in this house of horror
has been cleared up and I can once again waste hours
upon hours doing little more than aimlessly wandering
about the net and making penis jokes on IRC in #animeinferno
(on Austnet.org, for those of you interested) </cheap
plug>. It's nice to be back.
Xmas
and New years saw a trip back to the old country for
me (Tasmania) where I went to the Falls Festival -
a funky two day festival where you camp and see bands
and eat battered savs with tomato sauce. Most of the
bands were pretty cool, with the exception of Pennywise,
who are quite possibly the shittiest band I've ever
had the misfortune to see and hear. Regurgitator and
Gerling were ace, as were a little known Aussie band
called The Pictures. I gave them a round of applause.
They were splendid. I want to find some of their songs,
but thus far my hunting has been unsuccesful. I haven't
done anything else of any interest.
Blogs
really are pretty crap. Does anyone even read this
stuff? I bet after this I'll never update it again.
Do a little dance. WOOOOOO. YEH. I guess that's about
it.
Remember
kids, syphillis is a laughing matter.

Blog
Entry... OF DOOM
Nyaaaaah... Well. Here I am, at long
last, entering something in my blog. Of course, I'm
not actually doing this myself... well, I am, but
Inferno's uploading it for me. It's a long story.
If you want to hear it go look around in the forums.
It's been posted there. It involves an intergalactic
war between two rival groups of robots who have the
ability to transform into cars and trucks and tape
recorders who are piloted by angsty japanese teenagers
who have led tragic lives and have no faith in themselves,
yet are forced to pilot these machines, and fight
each other using light and dark sides of a power called
'The Force' in order to become the ultimate masters
of making cute animals fight and thus becoming the
most powerful war hero of all time, only to grow old
and complain that there was no parade for them when
they got home. They were in 'Nam.
Well.. last weekend saw me going from
the dreary ACT to Sydney to meet up with fellow AI
forum-er YRD9000 to go and see the single greatest
metal band in the history of magic pants playing at
The Metro. I am of course talking about Strapping
Young Lad. If you haven't heard of them, hear of them.
The gig can best be described as insane. Being two
rows back from the front of the pit quickly became
a painful experience when SYL started playing. It
seems that every single person in the place wanted
to be where I was. Several days later I was still
aching. Thats not to say I didn't enjoy it though.
It was awesome. They have such an intense stage presence
and energy, and Devin Townsend (AKA the God of music
and SYL frontman) seems to ooze intensity as he sings
and plays. I doubt any other band in the world could
work up a crowd as much as he did. Oh yeah, one of
the support acts, Tourettes, had a female singer with
hairy armpits. That made me cry for my mum. I think
she wanted to be a man. Apart from hairy female armpits
they were good. At the end of the gig a good time
was had by all and we went home to nurture our pet
kittens with tender loving care and a saucer of milk.
That's about it really... I haven't
seen much new anime apart from what Madman are releasing
(Working my way through Chobits, RahXephon and Onegai
Teacher) and will pick up a few new series soon which
will make me as pleased as a well pleased thing. I'm
thinking of buying Initial D... I know the characters
are ugly as, and I'm not really that into cars, but
I'm helplessly addicted to the Initial D arcade game.
It's good eh... I'll also have to pick up a few volumes
of Cardcaptor Sakura soon... And some french style
dressing. To make a salad. A salad of death.
Ok... I think I've rattled on with
enough fecal matter for one lifetime. We'll see you
all next time on Who Wants to Be a Big Hot DIY Backyard
Outdoors Renovating Better Homes Blitz Squad Idol
Of The Century.
If you have questions, comments or
public lice, email Inferno. I don't want to know.
